Oil level said too low?

This happened to me yesterday, and i put 2 quarts in, and it was fine. I want to know, If i just got a oil change from the dealer about 3 & a 1/2 months later the oil is low, what is that from? I have did it about 4 thousand miles ago, Do I need another oil change? Or is it because i drive fast and hard, not abusive though but a little more then the average speed limit 110-150 mph, every so often. Let's say once to twice a week, this is my weekend car, not a DD.
P.S the dealership said every 10,000 miles on synthetic, is that true or should i schedule a appointment asap. Thanks for all feedback. I need your help on this one guys....

I would be careful not to overfill it . I usually add a quart . I've done it twice in 2300 miles . In contrast my 997tt has yet to take oil and I do change it every 5K miles.

I seriously doubt you needed 2 quarts... I suspect people overfill these engines all the time. Do take several oil measurements at different times on level ground with engine at op temp before adding oil.

damn...... guys you are scaring me, I'm just going to get another oil change, i rather spend another 150, then spending 16,000 on a engine that porsche wont cover because I over filled it.... thanks i appreciate all feedback, i will take it in tomorrow, they will let me skip, i have a great rapport with them.

That may be overkill, but if you do it... do make sure they do not overfill it either.

No need to hit the top line either when topping it off - I shoot for somewhere in the middle - if I get to 1 bar down, that's enough. It's a "range" not a point. You can always add a little more later.

GOOGc4s is infamous around these parts
FYI .....one bar down from top bar equates to half a quart of oil. If you put TWO quarts in you have definetly overfilled the case. Take to dealer immediatley

oil issues

I have an 09 C2 6spd. I live in Miami and it has been hot. I only have 2600 miles on it and this is the second time my oil level warning has been triggered. The first time this happened I called a local dealer to ask what oil they recommend and the service desk said 0w40. I then called the dealer I purchased the vehicle from and they replied 0w50, and that is what I went with. This time I checked out the Mobile site and it said 0w40. I'm not sure what to do, but I only want the best for my baby. Any help would be appreciated.

Your dealer misspoke. It's either Mobil 1 0W40 or 5W50. Go with the factory fill - 0W40.

Watch it every couple of days (more often if you drive 100s of miles/day). If it drops near the bottom, add 1/2qt and keep checking. Do however multiple measurements, on level surface with the engine idling at op temp.
