Personalized Plates

Anyone have personalized plates? I'm debating again getting some but always hesitate, growing up the guy w/personalized plates was always "That guy"

I applied for some last year but got denied, they said it would be too confusing to police, my choice at the time was 00100001 which is binary for !

Now i'm getting the bug again, anyone have interesting ones?

I consider it all the time, Woozie!
Thus far I've always passed, for the following reasons:

-makes my car even MORE of a target for vandals
-there's a fine line between stupid and clever

Personalized plates can be trivial or arrogant and they attract bad attention. There are some though that are clever and stealthy. Choose well.

I've always thought of personalized vanity plates as poser-ish and cheesy... Not my cup of tea but it's your car and you're wants are all that matters.

I speed up all the time too. I was thinking about putting CATCHDIS or SMILE on a plate.

That's just classic....

I've thought about Personalized, but would want something that was like another nameplate:

'911'
'C2S'
'CARRERA'

or some combination.

I'm on the fence with this one as well. I think the last thing I want is to cause more animosity, as others have attested to. I think I'm in the subtle camp, such as 911CAB, 9NINE7, or the like.

Growing up my best friend's father had a 944 w/plates that read " 9IV4 "

Then again, where I grew up that was the only Porsche in town up until the late 90's

I don't think i'm going to do it (at least this year) If I ever do it, it will be a choice that means something to me and not necessarily a message to others, but then again to each his (or her) own

I have always had vanity plates, but always referenced my company name on my benzes and Porsches, I get a little more creative on my mustangs.
