used 2009s- mostly PDKs
Hi,
I noticed that most of the used 2009s are PDKs. Anyone know if PDK has any issues with it? Maybe people are buying it and changing their minds for a manual.
Thanks
Pat

I know in talking to my local dealer that most cars he sold were PDK's, might just be the law of averages kickin in
then again, i'm sure a lot of people bought early 997.2's and realized they couldn't afford them when the ecomony took a dump (or even before)
My dealer also said a LOT of leases from 2008 came back early due to people that bit off more than they could chew

Faster shifts, better gas mileage, durable, flexible mapping, rave reviews in any magazine reviews. Oh, and a Launch Control feature that doesn't void your warranty if you use it!

Are you joking? The PDK is the best transmission of any car mfg in the world. Most of 09's sold were optioned with PDK, ergo, more are for sale.

I did like the pooped in my pants thread. If you want smooth get a Lexus. I friggin love my PDK. It is a marvel. I can adjust the car with three different modes and SPASM too. Porsche did a superb job.
thanks for the replies. I have not owned a manual in 10 years now and really miss it and thats why a manual 911 made sense to me. PDK seems like the an awsome technology and seems to have more people going to it compared to the tiptronics which seem to be hard for dealers to sell right now.
PDK seems to be more readily available at dealers. I will have to decide if PDK is for me. The last car I bought was an auto with sport mode and I really regret buying it a few months after buying it and wished for a manual. The only reason I bought an auto was so that my wife could also drive it.
A big plus with a manual is that my wife can't drive it....lol. A PDK will allow her to beg to drive and I will not have much of a choice. To share the car or not....that is the big question!

I vehemently disagree. Those who say that were educated/conditioned on the common L/R offerings. The redundant Porsche system is superior in many ways. I have no hope in convincing those long lost to the mediocre L/R system.
Well, my own experience created of those used 2009 PDK cars.
I bought one, loved it for a month or two, started missing the interaction of the manual and traded it in for an '07 manual which then was traded in for an '09 S manual when the heavy discounting and 1.9% finance rate came along.
Most likely though folks who have posted above me are correct: more sold equals more used.

HAHA...factory trained my ***...maybe they took a wrong turn that day and got factory trained at Kia...
You face a tough choice because whether one likes the simplcity of the manual or the sophistication of the PDK --Porsche has hit two home runs and you can only buy one at a time.
