New here with questions re:PCCB's and sports seats.

Hey everyone, I have a couple of questions for you. I did post this in another thread and then realized that this is the thread I probably should have used.

First is regarding PCCB's. Who here winter drives their car that has PCCB's and do you notice anything negative about the brakes in cold, wet conditions?

Second question is regarding sports seats. Can anyone tell me why you can't get ventilated sports seats? It seems to me that for someone racing their car, having some extra cooling would be nice. I know the sports seats have a solid back for structural support....is this why they aren't ventilated? No way to pass the air through the seat? I don't see the car getting much track use, certainly not enough to offset the benefit of the ventilation on hot, long road trips so what are the feelings out there on the standard seats (on the 997 Turbo specifically so comfort seats) or for that matter the effectiveness of the ventilated seats?

Thanks for the help!

I haven't heard any adverse comments about driving a PCCB equipped car in the winter, I would imagine you will be fine.

As for the cooling of the seat, I have heard that there are options coming soon, check with our local Porsche dealer.

PCCB does not work well for about one block after a car wash, works the same in cold weather, I have no experience in below freezing temp use.

Yea, I can see the ventilated seat idea being associated with comfort.

Maybe the design of the sport seat does not allow for much room to be incorporated with fans needed for the cooling aspect. I know in mercedes the fans were not large and therefore made the driver, (unless cloth-less) feel little to no cooling effect. I looked into this previous in regards to my W211 E55 heard that the newer Cadillac DTS had some great cooling effects.

Maybe it is Porsches way of gearing certain options towards different clients needs, as you may know can get full leather and wood to carbon fiber and colored interior components.
