Hey All,
I'm brand new here and wanted to say hi and thank for all the information that I was able to pick up from reading threads prior to signing up. It's a great way to spend some time, learn a few things...and wait for your car to get back from the service department.
Regards,
Alex

Haha, it certainly does seem like it will be time consuming (in the best way) and expensive (also the best way, if it exists). As far as the car goes, it's an 06 C4...i'm gunning for an exhaust setup, ecu, intake. Kind of conservative at the start, and given the impending winter, it'd be a shame to dirty up a pretty new exhaust. Any experience you guys have with any of those parts would be much appreciated.

There are many different exhausts and most will probably say that they like their own the most . If they didn't like it they would take it off .
I had a 997.1S back in 07 before I bought my Turbo . The system I had was the Tubi /F77 and was very pleased . It really did sound like this back then. I looked at this video over and over before I finally bought it.

That sound is sexy as hell. Tubi was recommended to me by a few people and I recently go the chance to hear it in person on 997 Carrera, really excellent. There seem to be so many good choices, it'll be a hard decision.
Congrats and welcome to the 6. Great forum with some great people. Larry's exhaust is pretty amazing and does sound incredible and as he said, most people will tell you they like theirs the most. In my case I went with a full AWE exhaust (mufflers, cats, headers) and of course I love it. As my car is a C4S Cab, I was a little concerned with an exhaust that might be to loud as the Cab does let in more noise. The AWE set-up has the perfect volume and tone for me as well as AWE having a very solid reputation.

I have a pair of AfterHours mufflers for sale, if you're interested. They're loud and proud, deep and very growly. Worth a try if you care to.

Thanks guys. I've already spent more time on here today than I expected to. I'll have to read up on the AfterHours. The guys that did my audio just gave me a sweet hookup on a Tubi...still toiling over whether I wanna go Italian on German. haha.

there are two options for an intake, knn and evoms. Gains are relatively close, 10-15 hp, but according to their respective sites KNN 24hp and Evoms 18
Ecu: softronic and evoms both are great
Now for the exhausts that is a huge can of worms. Depends if you want to do headers cats, and mufflers. There are afterhours which sound amazing but are kind of loud. There are fabspeed/awe/borlja which are more of a throaty deep sounding. Tubi/cargraphic which sound the most exotic (my personal favorite along with afterhours). There are also bypass pipes which are wicked loud. Although there is the Gundo hack, the cheapest exhaust alternitve.
Here is a post on the gundo hack: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ste-money.html

Thanks for the good info...I haven't officially pulled the trigger on Tubi yet, just have the option and getting a full exhaust setup at cost (headers, test pipes, mufflers). I've heard that Tubi's weren't always killin' with high flow cats though, hence the cat bypass. You nailed right on the money the ECU tunes and Intakes I was looking at. So many options, it's headspinning. I very much appreciate it.

AWE is a great system and it's also a bit more affordable than the Tubi. In fact when I made my upgrade I did narrow it down to those two but I had to pick one . I was just so blown away by the polished Tubi and liked the rasp like note . The F77 box was made out of carbon fiber and even though it was expensive I felt it looked so beautiful . You'll be happy with either choice .
