A little defensive aren't we.

Not only haven't any of these 911 Cabs leaked (2 996 and 1 997) and not only are they my DD but I have no garage. They're out in the weather all of the time........no leaks.

Oops. I forgot this is the website of THE SECOND COMING OF THE CAR!

What I find humorous is that so many members of this site are so defensive about Porsches. "My car outruns anything on the road! My car never rattles! My car never leaks or emits CO2 gas! My car leaps over tall buildings in a single bound!"
Please, these are fun cars, and I'm thoroughly enjoying my 2008 Cab, but their build quality is like, well, a $95,000 VW, which is why the Phaeton never made it. My Miata had a tighter fit and finish than this car. Could it run with it? No. Did the engine and suspension even feel in the same league? No. But as far as the feel of the fit and finish, I'm not sure I'd even put Porsche in the top 10.

I've had 3 911 Cabs and just ordered my 4th and my experience and your experience couldn't be any farther apart as far as 911s go.

I have no vested interest in telling someone about my experience with 911 Cabs....none! If they leaked I'd say so and if I found the finish wanting I wouldn't buy them. I can also tell you that there's not a possible way I would have ever purchased a Miata.............but maybe that's just
me

Looks to me like your problem is solved....don't buy another one

No way man. I'm not defensive. You're defensive! Hahaha.
By the way, you should think about a Miata. They are like pound puppies. All they give is love and never ask for anything in return. And it's just not true that only hairdressers drive them!

had the same problem a few months back. The dealer replaced the weather strip that connect the smaller window and the main window..problem solved! It was warranty work so you shouldn't have any problems with it. Took them 15 minutes to install.

I just ordered a BMW Z4 35IS, for my girlfriend,i really wanted her to want the new Boxster, but she just didn't want a soft top, she said they look cheap, they are noisy, and tend to leak in hard rain. Hard top wins!!!
