Noob....with questions....

Hello everyone...My names Stu (board member wa2fast) I'm new to this forum and really would like to buy my first Porsche. Stacy (yes that guy, a friend of mine, although I have trouble keeping up with him as he has soooo much energy) spoke to me and helped me to narrow my focus from just a "911" to something that's more practical and achieveable. Anyway...I'm looking for someone who hopefully might have some feedback on a place called: Select Luxury (web site: http://www.selectluxury.com/)? I'm located in Canada so this purchase, if it goes through, will be one of those long distance things, with most of the arrangements being completed over the phone. I'm nervous, but feel confidant that it is achieveable.

Does anyone out there have any feedback on this dealer?

Thank you....this forum is excellent!

I think the moderator removed the link to the specific car, what are you looking at (year, model, etc)

don't listen to Stacy, he is crazy!

Stace got me talked into a C2S and that site had a 2009 with 1700 miles on it for sale. BUT, it wasn't a Porsche dealer and I was looking for feedback on them. I live in Vancouver, BC so I thought that it would be cheaper to get a used C2S from somewhere in the US as my search results so far have turned up only a few in Canada, and the prices are almost always substantially higher than a comparable vehicle in the US.

I would double check with Porsche Canada to make sure that the 2009 US Warranty covers cars registered in Canada, they may not be covered since Porsche Canada was started last year. In previous years Canadian Dealers were covered by Porsche Cars North America, and the warranties were fine, however due to the change in the dollar many car manufactures (VW and Toyota to name a few) have changed there warranty coverage on US cars imported into Canada.

I too live in Vancouver and will be seeing Stacy today.

Welcome, Stu!

I live not far from Select, and would be happy to take a look at that car for you. Things I can see I can report on, but if you provide me a list of things to look for, I'll report on those, too. Select has been around for awhile, and while I've not bought from them they always seem to have a great collection of high-end cars. I've bought used 911's from non-Porsche dealers, with no issues, as both were under warrantee.

Additionally, if you are willing to pay to have a Porsche inspection, I can have my Porsche tech do it. I am sure I can also get a copy of the official Porsche repair history given the VIN, too.
CATTMAN

ps Stacy know how to reach me when you're ready.

SelectLuxury is infamous around these parts
Hi Stu,
I work for Select Luxury, though not in sales. I can tell you that we've sold cars to people in many countries and we have a 100% positive eBay motors buyer feedback rating out of 483 reviews as of today. You can contact one of our sales people through our website and they will be glad to answer any questions you may have. I hope this helps, and good luck!
