I have had seat warmers in previous Porsches and when I reflect on who used the seat warmers it's usually women. Now there is something amusingly entertaining about an attractive woman flipping on my seat warmer . It tended to change after marriage though. At least for me it did.

Not sure how much I would care for them on a coupe, but I'm really happy I have them on my cab. I've used them more than a few times when the top is down and it's a little chilly. I think on a cab it really increases the number of days running with the top down.

You guys in Florida with the heated seats should turn them on high and then collect some of those little lizards that have fallen out of the trees because it's too cold and put them on the seats to warm them up a little.

Update -No seats warmers and the warm up is upon us. Today reached the 60's and with one more cold (but not record breaking) night to go. Tomorrow will reach the mid 60's and then we are back on the usual track to the upper 70's low 80's .

The cold snap was the worst I have seen in 25 years.

And that's the problem with installing them because when cold weather is out of sight its priority dinimishes .

Oh, it's very enjoyable as long as it stays under 15 F so the snow is dry, and even gets squeaky when you're down around minus 30. Weather in Minnesota only gets uncomfortable when the temperature shoots up above 20 F and you have to deal with slush.

Of course, we're in California now and the temperature has been around seventy this last week. Makes it easy to cherish fond memories of Duluth in January.

They're actually pretty nice when it gets really cold, although in San Diego that's rare. Unfortunately, most of the time I use them it's FFS just because the car came w/ them (didn't want them)

Can't even imagine opening up Xmas presents by the tree in 70 degree weather...I might complain about NY winters but I still love the change of the seasons

ps have both heated seats and steering wheel just in case

We are expected to be back in the high 70's (avg highs) by Thursday but the last two days have been tough . Most of the homes here lack the insulation , and unlike in the colder climate even pipes can freeze . At least shelters open for the homeless but the animals face this head on . Since there are tropical species lizards have been freezing in the street , metrozoo has closed , and Florida manatee have tried cramping into warmer waters . We simply are not equipped for this in the same capacity but dipping into the freezing zone ruins the orange crop , effects tourisism, and local business and leaves many residents without power too.

My seat warmer doesn't matter in the light of all this but it is the only on topic (Porsche related ) aspect of this cold .
I was seeing Iguanas fall out of tree's. I mean snow flurries were in Boyton Beach and Lauderdale . I just got back from North Michigan, and sicne we're a wet cold as well this doesn't feel much warmer then there.

We have another cold snap on the way though after it warms up to next few days, thought I heard on the news it was going to be just as cold again.

The 996 definitely has negative numbers: -20F is the coldest I have recorded so far. And yes, the heated seats are awesome!

They are a must on my Cab. for those cold sunny days, so good to drive with open top, heated seat on, and hot air blowing from the windscreen vents
