One hell of a C2S!
How is that possible? Did they go out and purchase non-OEM parts for less then use the extra for the mods? 40K worth? That doesn't add up and if that were the case then that would technically be insurance fraud. If that's the case then someone should report them to the gecko or to "Flo".
It was just my opinion... I think it tries too hard being something is not. 40 should buy proper wheels, take the rear seats out, proper bumper and door sills.
I think they went cheapo in some of the upgrades. I wouldn't even start such modding if it wasn't to do it right. Perhaps not ricer then, something else...
Nothing against those upgrades, I'm all for it. But trying to be a GT3 is not even necessary, again, IMHO...
Not quite like that BBS.

The GT3 written below perhaps a sticker on that car, white versus gray. That's not that hard to replace properly.

Rear bumper

Alcantara and leather distribution. That car had some gratuitous use of carbon fiber.

Back "seats"

Door sill "GT3", on that car looks like a hand cut metal plate with GT3 hand written with some permanent marker...

I agree. There are somethings that I definitely would have left out and probably would have went with a different set of wheels, but overall I think it looks pretty damn good. As another member said the paint looks flawless.
Here's my guess on why---
I think it draws attention away from the REAL problem. The buyer is so fascinated by how it glitters that he overlooks the underlying damage.
I'd be more than a little leary about that vehicle...
11/07/07 - Sale at auction
11/15/07- Accident in WA at 8,136 miles
no body shop repair reported...
5/22/08 - 6.5 months later, with less than 50 miles more on ODO, it suddenly reappears in Alaska?? at 8,183 miles and is retitled.
Where's it been for 6 months and why wasn't it titled before - even as dealer possession? Suspect the true accident date (not the date reported) preceded the auction date.
1/25/10 - it now appears in IL
Not sure if AK is a good state for scrubbing a title, but buyer be very aware on that one....

I have spent a lot of time thinking about this. There are so many independent dealerships in Florida and it seems like many of the cars are tricked out with aerokits .

I think you nailed it. It's the old "lipstick on a pig" trick.
I am doing the fabspeed conversion. Pipes should be here Friday. I am doing a write up on it in this thread: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ming-soon.html
Neither. I am using my PSE / AWE setup. I really enjoy the way my car sounds with this setup so the Fabspeed conversion pipes were the right choice for me.
I am still waiting on the bumper which I should have by next week sometime, but I will probably work on getting the conversion pipes on this weekend.
