Got the RS29's for my 2009 997.2 base Carrera from Craig at Rennstore, so perhaps there was a miscommunication:

E8074 R29 01
E8006 R29 02

Straight off the boxes. Pads are installed, just using the boxes to store the OEM Textars.

997.2 base brakes are a big improvement over 997.1, but The closed calipers suck.

Mine is an S. He may have sent me the ones you have,or the ones for a GT#3; but they didn't fit. He didn't even know what a monobloc open caliper is or what rear brakes come with the S. Time and money wasted.

No noise from fronts after 6 track days(insert sound of fingers crossing). Rears noisy, but only 2 events on them. I hope I can reinstall the oem shims after the pads are worn a bit, but for now I just remove the rears between events.

update-have encountered only mild tolerable noise since reinstalling shims on rears. So far so good.
