Do all 997Cab have roof rattles?

Just wondering if it's normal for 997Cabs to have small annoying rattles in the roof? Is there a common spot and are there any good ways to fix them?
Thanks in advance.

The only time my '06 had a problem the two Torx bolts in the top of the frame were loose. I've removed them, cleaned them, and put Loctite "blue" on the threads & no more problems.

I didn't have any on my 05 C2S cab that had 20k miles on it and I owned for a year. My latest 06 C2S cab, which I've only had for a week, doesn't have any yet, with 14k miles on the car.

My cab has a tiny rattle, in what I think is the right rear. I only really hear it on bumpy roads.

Even if you don't have a rattle check the the two Torx bolts on both sides of top. In addition to mine being loose I have also found several of our club members Torx bolts being loose. One of the service techs at the local Porsche dealer told me they routinely check all Boxsters & Carrera Cabs when they are in for service. His guess is 3 out 5 need to be tighten and the 2 that were OK they will catch on the next trip in.

Can you post a pic or description of which bolts you're talking about?

My 5 month old 09 does have a squeak over uneven pavement....

Thanks!

I've had several "PM's" requesting pictures of the Torx (T-30). So here they are:

Also try lubing the joints with "DuPont Multi-Use Dry, Wax Lubricant". You can buy this at Lowe's.

Use 303 Aerospace Protectant on all the rubber parts. The 303 is a great product. I use it on all vinyl, rubber & leather. The 303 High Tech Fabric Guard is good for your top. Both protect from UV rays.

mine had major flex noise every driveway since I go in at a angle. Took it to the dealer and they put felt on the two lips that fit in the window frame notches in the front of the top.. all gone
