Those are the new wheels that come on the 997 TT. Can't recall the name, but you can see them on Porsche.co as factory options for TT.

I think their official name is "butt ugly". Why are wheels that come on the turbos just awful the past couple runs?

I thought that I was the only one that thought they were ugly, glad someone else feels the same way.

I don't really care for the current model either, but I like the ones that came stock on mine (PREVIOUS MODEL WHEELS). But everyone should get what they like....

+1.....they made them ugly so you have to upgrade $$$$ to the center lock wheels for the Turbo.

I guess I'm the only one that thinks they look cool! I guess the take offs will be even cheaper than the old forged turbo wheels!

+2. But I'm not even a big fan of the centerlocks. Something just doesn't look right about them on the new TT.

I've always thought that the TT wheels were pretty unattractive. Ugly in fact. In general, Porsche wheels have not been all that hot - until the centerlock wheels came along. I don't know if it's the cosmetics or the engineering but they definitely float my boat. OTOH at those prices, I guess they ought to.
Another item on my 'reasons I'd like to own a 997.2 GT3 RS' list.

They would have been perfect if Porsche had left the face of the spokes rounded and not machined them flat.

They look OK to me - though I do prefer the centerlock version. They are all forged wheels from Fuchs - looks aside, they are pretty decent wheels. http://www.fuchsfelge.de/index.php?id=140&L=1

I think that particular wheel looks better on turbo cab than it does on the car above, but to each their own.
