I think a fair price woiuld be to pass on the car. There is no price that they can give which would compensate for the depeciation loss over time. Wholesale that car is worth 60K asa used vehicle and that is exactly what it will be the moment you take delivery. You coild throw 68K as an offer .. but unless they are desperate, or there is something wrong with the car --they will probably let you walk.

At 80K -BTW .. anther 5K will get you a CPO Turbo . By far the better buy!!!

Thanks guys. The CPO turbo idea might be something I need to consider.

I keep reading about 20k off of leftover 09's, but haven't found any cars that meet my specs or color combinations that are near this price. I have found a few, but they generally have non-standard colors or customized options. There was a nice, white car that the dealer initially offered $9.5 off of ~$103k. I countered with the low-mid 80's range and didn't get a response.

Fortunately, I have time on my side as I do not have to buy a car now, but if I could get a really good deal, I'll proabably cave in before my other car's lease expires at the end of this year. I really miss my old 911...

Yeah I agree...for 80k you can get an 09 Carrera S with much better engine, suspension and PDK even. I did for a little under $78k and while it wasn't my 1st choice in color combos; it was acceptable and moderately outfitted (it had PDK and Sports Chrono even) and what it didn't have I could easily add/outfit. Even NAV now which is avail for PCM 3.0 if you forgot to get a car with it. PSE wanted it? Car didn't have it..had them throw it in at a discounted price...meant waiting to get the car fully the way I like..but that's okay too. Also found a few white PDK 09 base cars in the $69k range as well which would probably go fo $65k with a firm offer.

Also Porsche is offering 20% off any tequipment from 15 Jan thru 31 March I think so if they don't have something you can always get it at a discounted price as well now and save some more $$. Good luck.

It's a two yo car and almost certainly has been punched so warranty is probably 3yrs max, maybe less. And it is an old model on top of it.

KBB says $72K , and since actually never titled, maybe add a bit for that - maybe $75K if you love it. So they are still too high. If they'd CPO or extend the warranty some way, then that'd be worth a couple $K more.

Gotta wonder why it is still around - well subtle leather is not everyone's cup of tea. I reckon it still needs its prince charming to come and kiss it.

Most of the leftover 09 cars are as you describe. You are late to what was a great price party (back in July) . You could wait and hope that the 2010 models face some type of incentives in the future or look at CPO Turbos .

My vote goes to the 997tt unless a new car is a must.

Thanks guys. I think for the same MSRP (~$100M), I would be willing to pay ~$80m for a 09 and ~$72 for a 08.

Just traded my 08 C4s in on a special order 2011 TTS. White with natural leather all around. The dealer gave me $62. It was loaded with all the bells and whistles. Beautifully maintained with 21k gentle miles on it. Someone is going to get a great car!

I'd pass simply because of the supple leather and lack of full leather.
