Ordered parts for GT3 RS mk2 conversion
Yesterday, I have ordered all the parts needed for a 2010 GT3 RS conversion from AP Car Design.
They were kind enough to invite me for the weekend in Germany to check out their facilities and workshops.
So I'm flying in on Sunday for a 2-day trip. The parts should arrive within 7-10 days and I will try and keep a nice log and document on how things progress.
Cheers

So you are going to make your Carrera look like a GT3RS with a non-OEM body kit?
Interesting decision, of course it's yours alone to make. I'd not do it for a few reasons, however, as noted, this is your money and your decision, not mine.

Front bumper with LEDs, three air tunnels inside the bumper, front led control units, rear bumper, center exhaust, rear leds, control units, overall mesh grill set, roll bar, 2010 rs decklid and rear wing.
Later, I will add a new steering wheel with a ring on, stickers (perhaps), updated headlights, suede dash and panels, kw etc etc.

I would avoid the stickers, IMO they take away a certain level of taste from the car.
But I really like what SharkWerks did with the ghosted RS graphics on their car.

Ask for Thomas or contact him, tell him Cem (Gem) is doing a conversion, you heard the company from there.
Good luck.
Whats the general thought of riding with a rollbar behind your seats and 4-point harness? Is it safe on the road, I never track my car btw. I wanna get a bolt on roll bar, without messing up/removing the interior, so just a few bolts. But again, how would be the strength of the bar itself, or the bar itself moving about in an unsafe condition with Sparco seats in the front?
Ignore my last post I looked at the recent thread you posted and see it's a 997.1.
Are you really sure you want to do this ?
I do commend your enthusiasm and I am completely behind the creative aspects --but I also have concerns :
1) a lot of aftermarket kits look pretty .. but not all of them fit alike.
2) the LED conversion can get tricky .
3) what's in it for them if they invite you to the workshop?
Think al this over --it's your car --but weigh everything.
