Removing O2 sensors

What is the best/easiest way to get the O2 sensors off to put a spacer? Do I remove the bumper?

You do not have to remove the bumper BUT make sure you unplug the O2 sensors in the engine bay......that way as you turn the O2's the wires will NOT get twisted up!
I can get the back bumper off in 10 mins.,so I do take it off.....just makes for a ton more room!
You will need a 22mm wrench to to turn the O2's as well !

I took Justatoy's advice, and I totally agree. I found the O2 sensors a pain to deal with even with the bumper off. I also agree that it is best to disconnect the O2 connectors on each side and free the cable clamps so the cables and connectors can turn with the sensors as you unscrew them and screw them back in again. It takes a little extra time but avoid damage to the wires.

As he says, the rear bumper comes off pretty fast, at least after the first time!

Finished! I left the bumper on but did disconnect the sensors and cable clamps to loosen it up. It was a real pain but luckily reinstalling the them was really easy because the spacers AWE supplied me with have a slight bent to them and end up giving you more slack to work with.

Thanks for the help guys.
