The thing beside the door sill.....whatchamacallit

Does anyone know what this part is called, beside the door sill. I can't seem to find the right term for it.

Also has anyone had any experience removing this? It's all scuffed up and i was either going to paint it, or just replace it. i see two little screw covers (which almost seem crazy glued in there )

Thanks!

You would have to replace the whole door sill with the leather one. Sold on Suncoast Parts.

I do not think you have to replace the entire door sill. the part I am referring to is the Inner Sill Finisher. It is between the door sill and the seat.
You can see it on the Porsche Car Configurator, Options, Interior Leather.

I believe you have to remove the 2 fasteners on the seat side, and then pry it up vertically. There will be some friction fasteners/posts that pull out of slots in the metal underneath. I removed the right hand side and it came up pretty easily. Haven't done the driver's side but I believe it is the same principle. Those look like plugs that have to be removed on the seat side.
