I'll update on significant mods in separate threads as well. I'll start with this one then...

I took a risk here, and for me, it paid off as I love the outcome. I know this look is not for everyone -- that's for sure -- but I think it sets this car apart.

I had my stock rims powder coated a semi-gloss black with a semi-gloss guards red trim. Forgot the lug nuts, so those will be coated black as well. I think the pics below fairly well represent what it looks like in person, but the colors are more pronounced in person. These will be complemented shortly with Guards Red seatbelts.

I really like what you did! I'm probably in the minority here but I never liked the look of the red calipers on a black car but with the accent stripe on the wheels it ties everything together and makes them look really cool! Very nice!

 

You need some shoe-shine.

Black wheels = ok

Red stripe = was cool maybe 5 yrs ago. Not as much anymore.

Nice wing tho....

 

Red stripe makes me look at the wheels too much, and not the great body lines. I guess the red stripes don't work for me.

Best part about my wheels (for me), I'm very happy with them. Many compliments in person -- some of the pics emphasize the red more than in reality.

2nd best part, only $450.
