Now this is where it gets tricky. Are you saying that your car is under warrantee for the 4 years Porsche gives you plus another 7 years? In other words is your car under warrantee for 11 years?
If not then what you actually purchased was a 3 year warrantee. Remember the first 4 are from Porsche.
To the OP Google the name of the warrantee company they are trying to sell you. They tried to sell me a warrantee from Fidelity and what I discovered in my research is that they were denying more claims than they paid. If Porsche would have offered an extended warrantee I would have jumped at the chance but you need to be carefull of these aftermarket warrantees because many of them are rip-offs. You also have to be concerned that the aftermarket warrantee company doesn't go "belly up" (or change their name and "re-organize"
) before it kicks in or you could loose your money.
The only truly good aftermarket extended warranty is one that is TRULY backed by Porsche NA. Good luck trying to find one like that (that's not a CPO). See if your Porsche service department would honor that warranty after the Porsche warranty runs out.
Enjoy your new ride!
Steve
PS: Something to be said about buying used...
Yes, an additional 3 years. I guess since u r buying the 3 years after the 4 free years expire, they call it a 7 year warranty. Mine is directly through the dealer which I liked. I also have an Interstate Warranty on my BMW and the same on my Acura and have had very good luck with that company. I have heard of Fidelity but had no first hand experience. To the Op, good luck with yours !!
