Was at the Denver auto show and saw everything from Kia to Lamb, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Bentley but no Porsche. Maybe I missed it but I really don't think so. Maybe they are tightening up the belts at cutting cost but with the Panamera, GT3, GT3RS, and TT, they have so much to show. Too bad.

Maybe Porsche has decided to "cherry-pick" the auto shows for the absolute highest exposure; Chicago, New York, NAIAS (Detroit) and the european circuit. Overhead costs could be a factor.

They were not at Chicago or Detroit. The dealers are usually responsible for shouldering much of the cost of the diaplays. In this market, even the big boys have to weigh cost vs. benefit.

Weren't really at Pittsburgh either. Sewickley Porsche had 3 cars there, none open. (cayman, pana, and cayenne) More looked like a vendor area though.

We had our separate room that Porsche has always done at the L.A Autoshow. And as Usual, it's the most attended room.

Porsche wasn't at the Atlanta or Toronto auto shows either - kinda disappointing. It's been almost a decade since they've been at the Atlanta show, even more surprising given PCNA is headquartered here. But I agree with everyone that they are trying to cut cost and reach their targeted market in other ways.

From what I understand, China is a new and emerging market for them so they are putting a lot of resources into shows over there instead.
