My factory pads were also stamped 'Textar'.

However, it's normal for most car manufacturers to have several OEM parts suppliers for major components - so it wouldn't surprise me if you also find factory pads stamped with a manufacturer's brand other than Textar.

PorscheAudio,

If it'd make you feel better, you should definitely get the parts from the dealer. It's not worth it to save a few bucks if you're going to be worried driving the car with parts that didn't come from your porsche dealership.

That said, my OE pads from the factory were also stamped TEXTAR. I've been running TEXTAR pads and SERBO discs for a week now and can't tell the difference between this and the OE parts that it replaced. Zero squeaking either.

Take it for what it is and get whatever parts suit your needs = )

cheers.
