997.2 4s wheels on a 2s?

Tried this in wheels & tires but nobody's home.

Ran a search w/ no luck - can a set of wheels offset for 09 4S fit on a 09 2S?

I have heard that 2s will fit 4s w/ spacers but how bout the other way around?

The wide body cars need wheels with less offset, 52mm I believe, compared with the 67mm offset on narrow body cars. So putting the 4S wheels on your 2S will stick them out 15mm further than normal. Lots of people have done this, or put 15mm spacers on their 2S wheels for a more aggressive look.

They'll fit - the biggest difference is in the rear where you'll have the wheel/tire stick out 16 mm more than stock on each side (the C2S uses a +67 mm offset rear and the C4S uses a +51 mm offset). The less the positive offset, the more they stick out from the hub surface where the wheel mounts to. No spacers are required for putting C4S wheels on a C2S; it will just be an aggressive offset.

The reason the spacers are needed for putting C2S wheels on a C4S is because otherwise, the wheels would be hiding 16 mm in the wheel well. There is no change from 997.1 to 997.2 wheel sizes.

Looks like we replied at about the same time - not going to argue the 1 mm but good to see we pretty much agree.

299moto - the only concern I would have is if the tires rub the fender wells with the different offset, especially if you have lowered suspension. I don't have this setup but someone on here I'm sure does and can weigh in.

Cool. So these should fit on a 2S?

Anybody have any pix of 4s on 2s w/ stock suspension?

I had 15mm spacers on my 997.2 C2S and they fit just perfect. So, you should be able to install WB wheels (+51mm offset) with about the same fitment.
