Question Adding iPod to 2006 PCM with Tooki installed...

I could again use some expert advice. My car is to arrive in the next day. It has the tooki installed so I can use my iphone through the PCM. However, I don't have a wired connection to the PCM for my iPod/iPhone and we know the present iPod/iPhone can't bluetooth stream.

What adapters can work once the tooki is installed at the back of the unit? I plan to call nav-tv this week, but am interested if anyone here has experience with this or something similar. thanks--

david

I believe the Dension Gateway 500 should work fine with Tooki.

I am going through this now. I have a Tooki for my blue tooth. I can stream my Iphone through it, but it is played as a telephone call through the front speakers only and the sound is terrible. Nav-tv sells a separate unit that allows direct digital play of the Iphone's music through the PCM. I am going to have it installed this week. Good luck!

Regards,
Frank A.

I have the Tookie BT and NAV-TV ipod. The Tookie is very good - the NAV-TV ipod adequate.

1 sec delay from when you press a button on the PCM till the song actually changes, and the display of tracks could be better. Sound quality is very good.

Also I have to disconnect the ipod everytime I exit the car or it will discharge the battery - in other words, the ipod continues to be "on" even when the car and HU is off. PITA.

That is odd - my mobridge turns it off and any other unit (at least on paper) claims to do the same - when optical ring goes inactive it should turn off power from ipod.
