Just my 2c - if you are flying down there anyway - drive car back yourself. It will be easier and cheaper I think (if you will avoid speeding tickets - buy V1 radar before you start going back). And a lot more fun.

I thought about it but after food, gas, hotel, and an additional 3k worth of miles on the car it only saves me like $200...and I have to take time off of work.

If it were me, I would seriously consider the drive - driving through the western mountains in the spring in my new Porsche would be one of the best vacations I could imagine.

I have done the drive from San Diego to Colorado, and from MA to Colorado years before (both late spring drives). It is a good time if you are with someone else. I will be alone and would prefer to drive those miles in the NH White Mountains with my GF
