19 inch sport classic wheel

Just got the new issue of Panorama. After spending time staring at the 918 stuff, I turn the page to see the "classic" tequipment black wheels with the silver lip. Retro. Beautiful.

Can't find them on the web yet...The ad has them on a turbo Anyone get them yet?

Edit: darn... only for 2005+ AWD 911s...

Left out in the cold again

A 911 version of the Boxster Spyder wheel would be cool too.

So far that SC wheel is the only one I'd just do if it were available - otherwise, I like the 18's Carrera IV wheels that I had put back onto my car when I bought it. To me, they give a nice nod to the traditional wheel and look fine.

It seems like we are the only ones who like these wheels. It really depicts a modern interpretation of the old Fuchs wheels. I am actually liking it better each day.

my dealer told me they were available (barrier motors, bellevue, wa) - no affiliation.

i ordered some and just as they were shipping, we found out they were widebody only.

i'm told though they're going to make them in narrow body config and that an american company is also making some- or something very much like them but probably higher quality.

stay tuned.

Yep, just verified available & working to include them on a new one
Now, will they look better on White or GT Silver?

A lot of people use the wide body wheels on the narrow body. It is basicallt like putting 15mm spacers ont he rear. The front is the same as narrow body. So in realality they will work really well. Add a 5mm spacer for the front and they will look great!

i can't remember but it was about list - $5k ish? at first i think we thought they were about $7k and then it came down.

mike -the offsets on the wheels worked out so that they would stick out past the fender by about 5mm. they have another set coming in so we're going to stick them on and see how it looks, but i'm pretty sure it came out too far. the offset, IIRC, was different from the WB turbo wheels. i have no problem filling up the wheel well but this came out too far (we think).

remember, the data from porsche was getting updated daily - they had just come on the price list and because of the changing information we decided to wait until the first set came in to see for ourselves. i'll share when i get more info.
