Crest + black lugs = change for the better

All:

I believe I'm in the minority of people digging the blacked out look. But here's an update on where I am with this.

I previously had the OEM wheels powder coated black with a guards red trim, along with the standard lugs (silver) and blacked out Porsche crest. The idea was to then throw on the black powder coated lugs when they were ready and leave it at that.

However, I did throw on the black lugs, but added the gold Porsche crest (which does have some guards red in it). Here are some before and after pics. To me, I like the after results better.

Looks very nice in a "Darth Vador" kind of way; the red stripes on the wheels contrast with the black and almost make the car seem darker... It is a very nice finishing touch I would never have tought about.

I could really see Guards Red seatbelts in the car to tie the inside details and the outside...

I love the black bolts and the colored crest. I don't dig the red stripe, but to each their own.

I have the colored crests also with black wheels. I'm not sure I'd go totally blacked out but a little tint and a dark color goes well with black wheels IMHO.

here in CA, I would get stopped daily with that set up. I would never go that blacked out, but it is unique. It may be hard to actually tell what kind of car it is though on the road.
