when will porsche do the paddle shift right? it needs to be fixed and not rotated.

as for pdk paddle vs buttons, i think both are equally bad because you have to find it when car is not going straight.

why can't porsche do it right and just copy what ferrari and lambo have?

Ok...but you spoke of trail braking and downshifting at the apex. I don't think of equating that with driving on public roads.

And I think the times someone really needs a reason to downshift out of a corner at the apex on a public road is pretty low. I think most model porsches have enough torque in most gears do get thru public roads without the downshift.

However I stand but what I said. Going thru mountain twists and downshifting at the apex because PDK will not unsettle the car is just picking up bad speed driving habits.

Habits are formed given a set of circumstances. Circumstances change, habits/practices change - evolution at work.

Time and time again....I will say that if you are driving correctly you get your braking and shifting done BEFORE the apex....if you are shifting at the apex you drove in on the wrong gear!

Why not just leave the PDK system in Auto and let it make the decisions? The computer will already have you in the correct gear by the time you're at the apex.

I like the look, but would want to feel it before I laid out $1k on another wheel.

But my first priority should probably be actually getting a PDK.
