it's almost here!!!

Hi everyone... thanks to those who respond to my PM's and deal w/ my harassing... i'll be pickin up a car really soon and I just need one last piece of confirmation that I'm making the right choice... pics will follow right after I get the car..

Anyways, I'm comparing a 2005 C2, 31K miles, some extras... Bose, NAV, 19"s and 1 yr CPO warranty left... black on black... $39,500... it's not the perfect car, but seemingly a really good price.

The car I'm buying is a 2006 C2S, 29K miles, NAV, PSE, $~49k which seems to be right on par with pvt party sale prices. My buddy just picked up a C2S for about the same price...

For the extra $9k+change, I am getting:
PASM
Sportchrono
Bigger Brakes
Bigger Motor
PSE
1.5 yr newer car
Not having to worry about 2005 "issues" (hopefully)
the lobster forks that I like... (dont ask why)

This car has a good history, good owner... do you think I'm making the right choice? I'm really stretching to get the newer S, but all in all it seems like a better car in that it's spec'd exactly how I would order a new one (could never afford that, though).

Thanks a lot, from a soon-to-be very happy person...

You don't need any more comparing, you already know that the 06 C2S is for you! If a price is sort of "too good to be true", it probably is. Plus, the 06 has the options you want! PSE, NAV - those are nice perks!

Get the car you want and don't look back.
It's much worse to regret the dream than to save a few pennies.

Pregrats on the car. The C2S is a fantastic choice.

About a week ago a forum member in your region asked me an opinion on a car . I did not like the one he was looking at so I looked on auto trader and picked out two cars that looked appealing and suggested them to him to look at. One of the two was an "S" with 29K miles and i just looked at my sent PM and see the car is no longer for sale .

If that's the car you are gettijng .. and if it passed all inspections .. it sounds real good.

larry:
you have a way of finding cars... yes, i believe we are talking about the same car as it is now off the listings. unfortunately, im going to be leaving town on business in a bit which will delay receipt, but all else is a go and should have the car next week...

i think it really is about getting the car u want.. even if it costs a bit more.. i mean these cars arent cheap... the general sentiment ive received is that a 1.5 yr newer "S" is worth the 9k step up in price...

Looks very well equipped, you'll love the PSE.

Do it and never look back, the road is ahead.

The 2006 is a better "deal". S gives you a lot more, plus you may be less prone to IMS issues. PSE is a sweet option. GL.

After reading responses and reading old threads, I believe that the 2006 C2S is absolutely worth the money. The terms have been agreed upon, and I just need to find time for the 3 hr trip to get the car. Early next week, likely.

I've noticed a lot of people really dig the PSE... Can this non-performance based exhast really be that great? I plan on unplugging the sucker so I can have it on 24/7!
