First DE Video!

Those contour HDs really need a Mic input.....the vids look so good, but the wind noise is deafening! I saw a guy on the net hack a mic-input into his contour, but I don't know about doing it considering the cost of a new camera!
try to put little piece of simple white matt semi-adhesive scotch tape on top of mic hole - it will cut off most of wind noise while making all the sounds less loud of course but it helps on very small cheap embedded mics.
Cool, I will try it!
I actually found some of the replacement foam heads for microphones and made a tiny pyramid shaped enclosure for my mic! (RadioShack actually had them!!) Bad thing is that it falls off every once and a while...
The nice thing with the positionable mics is that you can put one behind the rear seat area and engine sounds glorious!
The kodak Zi-8 has a mic input, but I don't know how the vid quality is for fast moving subjects. I don't want to hijack the thread with this, but I would love to see if anyone has had luck with that camcorder!

all the sounds you really need in that video are tires, brakes and engine and they are loud enough usually to penetrate through tape 'filter'.
