I really can not enjoy the music, but I can listen when I know I can only take the corner slow, plus all the instructors tell us to relax during the straights to mentally last longer but I can not hear because of the exhaust then

I read it, but I don't know if it's true. The 9500 rev limiter seem a little too high, but we shall see. I do not believe I will get any chance to purchase a new GT3 RS in the next, well, ten years or so

Never mind. The video looks great. It was pausing on my older laptop but runs perfectly on the newer one.

What camera did you use?

Those contour HDs really need a Mic input.....the vids look so good, but the wind noise is deafening! I saw a guy on the net hack a mic-input into his contour, but I don't know about doing it considering the cost of a new camera!

try to put little piece of simple white matt semi-adhesive scotch tape on top of mic hole - it will cut off most of wind noise while making all the sounds less loud of course but it helps on very small cheap embedded mics.

Cool, I will try it!
I actually found some of the replacement foam heads for microphones and made a tiny pyramid shaped enclosure for my mic! (RadioShack actually had them!!) Bad thing is that it falls off every once and a while...
The nice thing with the positionable mics is that you can put one behind the rear seat area and engine sounds glorious!
The kodak Zi-8 has a mic input, but I don't know how the vid quality is for fast moving subjects. I don't want to hijack the thread with this, but I would love to see if anyone has had luck with that camcorder!

of course external microphone is the best solution but, well, it all depends of the intended result. all the sounds you really need in that video are tires, brakes and engine and they are loud enough usually to penetrate through tape 'filter'.

Contour HD. Computers are really pain in the a$$ sometimes...
