Exhaust Noise

After following several threads discusing exhaust mods, I did a bit of research. I found the below link to be very interesting.

Amen! Most of that stuff listed is never going to happen. Our State is so bankrupt the way it is- they don't have the resources to police this aspect of vehicles.

Most of this overall, is just good common sense. If you have an insanely loud system, you will get ticketed... just as you will if you are stupid on the throttle around LE on a public street.

FWIW, Most of my previous vehicles over the last 35 years have had exhaust upgrades and I have never ever got nailed for too loud of an exhaust; nor have I ever got dinged for aftermarket mufflers, etc. You just have to be careful that you aren't driving a modern vehicle without any cats. THAT might get you in a bit of hot water, or at least a fix-it ticket.

In days gone by, CA fix-it tickets didn't cost you any fine except the price of the repair. Today, never to miss an opportunity to charge the public, you will get fined a minimum of $25, plus whatever it costs you to fix the infraction.
