launch control in any of ECU flashes?

Hi,

Does anybody know - is launch control option available in any of 'standard' ECU flashes - GIAC, Softronic, etc?

If anybody does not know - launch control on 6sp car is a different rev limiter (about 4500rpm) when clutch is pressed down, so essentially you step on clutch, floor gas down and rev limiter keeps it at manageable rpm - 3500, 4500, it depends, then you drop clutch and rev limiter goes back to 7500rpm. Most modded sport cars have it, but I never heard about Porsches.

You are describing a two step launch.

EPL has this as an add on to ECU tuning, as does Softronic.

What about Softronic? Do they have such an option - I meant - option for 997.1 NA cars? Thread listed was for 997TT?

I also edited - that option you show says 996 turbo, so, do they have it in 997 NA cars flashes?

I have PM'd Scott at Softronic in the past about adding this feature - his response suggested that it would not be that difficult to add it as a feature. I have not heard of an official product release by Softronic, but you may PM him - I have a feeling that he should be able to help you.

The question that I would have is what RPM should the rev limiter be set at. Every mod, clutch, flywheel combo, will effect the launching ability of the car. He may be able to set the rev limiter, but you may need to experiment to find the best launch RPM.
