PZero vs PS2

I need to change the 4 wheels and among the N rated tyres there's choice between good old Michelin PS2 and the new Pirelli PZero. Does anyone have experience of both (road only) ? Tks.

My car shipped with the Pirelli's and so far been very happy with them. I run PS2's on my Mercedes and they are very good as well. At first I thought I'd switch to PS2's when it comes time but now I think I may just stay with the Pirelli's. One thing I found according to Tirerack's specs is the Pirellis have a 10/32 tread depth to start while PS2's start with 8/32's on the 305/30/19's. In addition the PS2's are more expensive.

On the street use I think both are doing good! But, I am more prefer the PS2 on the track, since the P Zero didn't hold the grip after a couple of hot laps!!! However, if you just using them on street, then P Zero is a bit cheaper that the PS2!

I had PZero Rosso come from factory, for street they were good. For track on the other hand, they were kind of a let down... Michelins are supposed to be good for the track as well.

They are both expensive options, I am running Potenza RE-11s on my car right now and am really happy on both street and track! Far cheaper than both and offer quite the grip! If you don't need to run N rated tires, they are the best option!

The RE-11's are a good tire, but they are a softer compound than PS2 or PZero's. This makes them sticky for the track but not necessarily cheaper as you'll go through them quicker.

I went through PZero quite quick as well, so I don't know if it will be the same. PZeros lasted for like 6k miles on the rear...

I am not sure... You should check in with TireRack They sell all of the tires that you're interested in.

Would you prefer them for being N rated, or performance?

I have had both, and would never buy the PZero's again, in fact my last set was taken off with about 70% left and I installed PS2's, they are better IMO. I think that the next set I will try is the Yokohama AD08.

Yokohama AD08 is a great tire. But you need to live with the 295-30-19 size only (no 20's or 305+)

Are you discussing Pirelli Pzero "Nero" ?

Yokohama is an odd company, they never really look at all the right sizes. The 048 R Comp never made it to 19" tires, and the 18" tires are not really correct. Their tires have always been really good, they are just missing the sizing part of their program.
