I also need advice on a car
Alright...I have been looking for 3 months now for a 997 S and it's now down to 2 cars....two 2006 997....one is a C2S cab and the other is C4S cab....C2S is atlas grey metallic and the C4S is black, similar mileage as well as almost similar options...It's gonna be a DD and I m not planning on tracking or driving it in winter....the only difference....price... the C4S being the most expensive. What would be your choice? I wonder wether the all wheel drive is worth the price tag.
Any advice is welcomed.
Thanks
Jeff

I personally bought the C2S.....I do like the wide a$$ as Jim says...
We all know, that IS all Jim does with his car.......HE looks at it(with only 10,000 miles on the odometer),LOL!
I didn't feel a need for all-wheel drive as my car does not see weather, sunny days only!
When I drove a C4S it did feel a little more heavy and the over-all feel was a bit different......
I have NO regrets about my decision and besides with the money saved,it will allow a couple of mods!

I always thought 4wd on a cab was an oxymoron. Drive them both. They feel different. The 4S will hold that higher value, but it's a question of preference - for the drive and the look. And up in Canada, the 4S might add some foul weather flexibility.
I also felt that AWD on a cab makes no sense. Who drives a cab in the snow ?
On the other hand you do live in a cold region and even though you plan not to drive it in the winter .. AWD gives you a lot more of a choice.

Hard call - the primary reason I went for the 4 is to be a year round DD. Having said that, I do love the wide butt - I think that in the coupe body style, it's one of the finest looking cars in the world. I totally love my car for my uses, but for a fair weather cab, I would question whether the increased cost, complexity, and weight along with reduced frunk space and different steering feel is worth the trade off for the looks. I'd look very hard at the C2S...
Tough call! Both are great cars but for different purposes. I like the look of the wide a$$ of the 4S. And the awd for rain/snow is great if you plan on using the car in winter. Since my car doesn't see winter, I'd go for the C2S for the lower cost, lighter weight, and less on mtnc. Test drive both to get the feel of each. You can't go wrong with either.
Great advice as usual from the guys here. Drive them both. Then I would suggest park them side by side and see the difference between the wide body of the 4S and the narrower 2S. If you feel that it's worth the difference in $$$ for the wider arss, then i suggest go for the 4S.
