Just picked up the Red Beast from GMG Racing
All,
After almost six weeks at GMG my car is finally finished. My 997S Aero was modded when it when into GMG but it came out on another level.
Here is what you need to know.
The car started life as a very well optioned 997S Aero. The previous owner must have liked red because just about every piece that can be painted is red including the dash trim, dials, seat backs, seat belt covers, and seat belts themselves. The car even had red lobsters!
After about a month of ownership I dropped the red beast off at GMG to get their center exit exhaust system and OE Euro bumper installed. I also had them install a set of Bilstein Damptronics and a GMG specced set of BBS E88's.
For this trip to GMG I originally had planned for them to install a set of their WC-GT wheels (19 x 12 and 19 x 9) and set of JIC Cross coilovers. The reason for the switch to the WC wheels was mostly due to the fact that the E88's were just becoming a pain to keep clean. They are beautiful wheels but they really need a lot of attention. These new WC wheels look great and are super super light! I decided on JIC Cross's because I wanted a set of coilovers that was a little more aggressive than the Damptronics but a setup that would still work comfortably on the street. I went into GMG to check on the progress during the build and Fabryce came out to meet me. We looked at my car together and we started talking about the track and that I should go with a setup that will be very versatile, very user friendly, and very good on both the street and track. Basically he convinced me to go for a set of the new single adjustable Moton coilovers for the 997S! Waiting for the new Motons to come in added weeks to the build but I could not be happier with them! The ride is firm but really not much more harsh than stock in sport mode.
Along with the Motons, GMG installed a toe steer and dog bone kit and I had my sway bar drop links modified to work with GMG's WC sway bars from their WC GT3's.
Stats:
2006 997S with factory installed Aero Kit
Moton Single Adj Coilovers 550f/750r
GMG Toe Steer Kit
GMG Dog Bone Kit
GMG WC-GT Wheels (19x12 and 19x9)
GMG Full Center Exit Exhaust System
GMG CF Spoiler Wicker
OEM Euro GT3 Bumper
GMG WC Harness/Roll Bar
OEM GT3RS Steering and Shift ****
GMG WC Sway Bars
On to the pics!
My driving shoe of choice... who does not love "chucks"! (really just having fun with the camera here) My DD in the background- E36 M3

Some shop pics! This gives you an idea of the level of expertise the GMG guys have. For example, after Dave was finished with my car he moved onto a F430. In these pics you see Cup Cars, WC GT3's, GTR's, Various F430's etc etc.....

If this pic does not do something to you.... your probably dead

James' ride!

The car I was most intrigued with was the track prepped 997 GT2 in the background of the 2nd to last pic. That car is going to be sick! Looks like a mix between a RSR and a GT2 with some Cup Car thrown in.....huge front CF fenders and vents everywhere!
