need yout input on a '06 C2S Cab I am looking at

I'm looking for opinions on this car. It's listed on ebay, but I have been talking with the Porsche dealer in Omaha, NE and the deal is $60,000 with a CPO warranty.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160452639972&viewitem= &sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT

The car is nicely optioned, but missing the big $$ options such as power seats, full leather, remote CD and nav. The car is arctic silver with a black top and interior with 15,500 miles. I tried to account for the options in Edmunds and the TMV shows $59,900 with a CPO. I would especially appreciate any input from those who have recently purchased a similar car or are in the hunt to buy. The car has the following options.
  • Black Sport Seats (manual)
  • Storage Bin Lid w/Porsche Crest
  • Windstop w/Porsche Lettering
  • Gear Shifter in Aluminum
  • Self Dimming Mirrors
  • Heated Front Seats
  • 19" Carrera Classic Wheels
  • Wheel Caps w/Colored Crests
  • Sport Chrono Package Plus
  • BOSE Premium Sound System
  • ipod Interface
  • Floor Mats in Interior Color
  • Rear Center Console in Aluminum Look
  • Instrument Surround Aluminum Look
  • Painted Seat Backs
  • Porsche Crest in Headrest
  • Seat Belts in Silver/Grey
  • Custom Tailoring

This one is very similar to my car I recently bought with similar miles. This is a good price for CPO. You will not miss: power seats, full leather, remote CD and nav; these are overrated. It is nice that it has: sport chrono, sport seats (love mine, dont miss the power), and custom details (belts, headrest)

I'd say you have a couple thousand more in wiggle room... tell them $56-57K and call it a day... then start a thread saying "check out my new ride" and post some pics....

I signed the purchase agreement at 7 PM tonight. I got the sales guy to throw in an ipod interface (not much, but a small victory). I think I'm paying 1-2K more than I need too, but we started at $65,500 w/o CPO and we went back and forth to get to the price of $60K with CPO. Plus this car has the color combo, wheels and low miles I have been looking for. The aluminum look pieces and seat backs are are nice touch. The dealer states the paint, top, wheels and interior are pristine. The car is a 1-owner and was female driven. I pick it up on Saturday and hoping the dealer has been honest. I'll post when I get the car back to WI...a 500 mile trip from Omaha.

Your car is optioned out very similar to mine. I like your wheels too. You are going to love the car. It has everything you would need. You are gonna have a blast driving it back home. The CPO is a bonus too. Be careful about the modding bug. I have been infected and might be contagious.

Thanks for the tip. I have requested a DME scan and the results.

I already have the the urge to mod and don't even have the car yet. Ordered clear markers last night. How do you like Fabspeed CAI, Borla exhaust and Smart Top? Which would you do first?

Smart Top. A must have on the Cab.

Borla exhaust is nice but to loud for my taste (especially being a Cab). I went full AWE Exhaust (headers, cats, mufflers) and found it to be perfect.

That's great. I got the clear markers first too. I actually showed up to the dealership with the clear side markers in hand and put them on as they were messing around w/ paper work. Tip: remove the orange bulbs from the clear markers and put the stock clear bulbs in them so you dont have the fried egg look; or you can order the fancy bulbs that blink orange but are metallic at rest. First way is cheaper though.

Agree with SmartTop being the absolute best mod; do that next, soon if possible. It will make you use your top more b/c its so convenient.

You can get alot of aftermarket parts for modding second hand here on the site. The Fabspeed CAI looks cool and adds a little sound but have not noticed a big difference; was cheap though and didn't think all the $500 ones would add all that.

The Borla is a different sound, still Porsche flat six but much deeper. I actually wanted it on the lound side b/c I have a cab and want to hear as much as possible. I didn't think it was too loud, in fact not loud enought so I just ordered headers and hi flow cats (which I hear are the best bang for your buck mod). After I get all this in I plan to complement it with the softronic flash so I can make the most of my exhaust mods.

Hope this helps.
