I am almost ready to sign-06 C4S Cab

I am getting closer to complete a deal on a 06 C4S Cab. It's below 14,000 at a dealership, but it's not CPO.

He ask for $74K, but the online listing for the same car is at $72K

I am hoping $69K, but not sure if I am asking too much.

Then the other problem is with the warranty. He said it's approx $3K to get it CPO, and he would recommend getting extended warranty over CPO, since CPO would only give me another 2 years at the most.

Any suggestions? It's my 1st Porsche, and 1st Porsche purchase experience, and I don't quite know what the margin they are making to negociate....

Thanks

WHOA! I'm usually the guy that says the market is firm and prices are up, but even I think this is way too high.
The low-ballers will chime in soon, probably, but check some recent threads on this. Someone just bought a similar CPO's C2S cab for $60k. I would think $65ish with CPO included for this car, not knowing more details...

Uhmmmm, yeah, that price is way out of line.

I bought my 2008 C4S Cab with under 8,000 miles on it with lots more extras for about his asking price (low, low, $70's).

Real world datapoint - two weeks ago I paid $69K for an incredibly clean '06 C4S cab (black/black, nav, phone, power seats, MF steering wheel, full leather, 6-disc CD, etc, etc) with 18K miles and full CPO warranty in LA.

Just my opinion (and I've been out of the market for about a year), but that still seems a little high. Hopefully Larry can chime in here before the night is over to give his thoughts.

You can do better if you are patient and look around. The price is out of line with what people on the board are typically paying.

Way to much. I am in the porcess of buying my first P car. I have seen several around for a lot less than the low $70K's, especially for an 06.
