I had the problem with both the PCM ***** ans the climate control switches. I purchased new from ECS but also sent the cores in to have them done in epoxy paint as long as I had the climate control ***** refinished at the same time. Both options tuned out fantastic.

I bought new ones from Suncoast. Used a butter knife to gently pop the old ones off. Just pushed the new ones on. Never thought about them again until now.

Just do what monojohn said; I guess use two knives if you have to. Hate to add this but now my climate control ones have gone bad also, and that's going to be real pain in the ***!

Butter knives work great. Replaced mine with some from Suncoast. Also had to replace my a/c unit due to peeling buttons...that the dealer did. At great cost, I might add...

Very easy to install but not that cheap, for radio buttons.

Mine is a .1 and all I had to do was to pull the ***** out, and gave some hard rubbing with finer cloth and alcohol to clean it out thoroughly.

Left is how bad it was and right is after cleaning:
