Water Wetter- experiences?

It's 100F in Atlanta this time of year, and with a track weekend coming up, I'm interested in doing whatever I can to keep both my engine and my liquid intercooler system cool.

Has anyone used Water Wetter for either:
-Engine coolant system, or
-Intercooler stand-alone system (for my SuperCharger)
Thanks!
CATTMAN

PHOENIX RISING is infamous around these parts
I used Redline water wetter on my Vortech supercharged (with aftercooler) S2000. The product claims were something like 15F lower coolant temps.

I don't have any empirical data to show that temps were lower. However, I did use it for about 20K miles and did a coolant flush during that period. I didn't see any detrimental affects on hoses, seals or in the cooling system.

I used it for years on my 944, 951 and 968 and didn't see any temperature lowering that could be objectively measured. It didn't hurt the car but didn't do anything I could see and measure and that is why I haven't used it on my 996 C4S or 997 S and don't plan to use it in the future. Save the money. It's better to get a center radiator kit for the car, if you want to be on the safe side.

Water Wetter works best with 100% water in the radiator, but that's probably not something you'd want to do in this case. A 50/50 mix of water/antifreeze seems to limit the WW's ability to lower the temperatures anywhere near what the company claims. There are other products on the market that claim even greater temperature decreases, but they're probably closely related to "snake oil".

John as we spoke about earlier........
My oil temps are the same as yours and I am NOT boosted anymore....or at least for now,LOL!
Do Water/meth injection..........best of all worlds.Cooler intake temps, added octane, and just a great safety measure when you are boosted!
I know that doesn't help your oil temps and coolant temps BUT as far as the cooling system(for oil and coolant) in your car.....it is designed to work exactly the way it IS working and built for all the climates around the world!
Keep me posted to what you are going to do!

Just curious, do you have to dump all antifreeze from your car when doing a track day?? I run water wetter in my race bike and never had any overheating problems while on the track. Been racing at Willow Springs, Road America, Jennings, Miller...ect during the summer months in 100+ degrees weather. Also, as mentioned already, water wetter is to be used only with water.

John...... I tried it when I had the Pantera, and I honestly never noticed a difference, as the thermostat and fans did their jobs...... but even after the 180 t-stat setting.......nothing overall different.

To my knowledge, the WaterWeter only helps keep the water run along all the surface areas "better" for in-theory a better heat transfer.......All things considered it sure could not hurt adding to what you are running now.
