This is why I got the Cab. South of Big Sur last month..

We were in SF last year and rented a Boxster for the same drive - it just doesn't get any better than that! Definitely one, if not - the best, drives in the country!! I recommend dinner at sunset at Nepenthe - one of the most memorable dinners I've ever had!

It was a weekday, the road was relatively devoid of buzzkill RVs. Still, the PCM showed 33mph avg. speed from Carmel Valley to Hearst Castle. Some owing to single lane construction in places, but mostly owing to my just not being in any hurry. Contrast that to the return trip on Hwy101 where the PCM said my average speed was, "That's more like it!"
