How not to dry your seats

This is amusing...

http://jalopnik.com/5616687/skater-k...th-leaf-blower

.................................................. ............

Canadian figure skating champion Kurt Browning had a wet Porsche convertible, a leaf blower and time to spare Wednesday. He now has a gutted Toronto mansion following a three-alarm fire. Here's how not to dry a Porsche. Video shot by neighbors shows flames shooting from the garage of Browning's home. Despite the arrival of 10 fire trucks, the blaze quickly broke through the roof of the house.

Investigators say they believe "the homeowner" may have been attempting to dry off the seats of his unspecified Porsche convertible after a rainy night using an unattended leaf blower. Browning reportedly tried to put the fire out with an extinguisher when he discovered it, but was too late to keep it from spreading.
The skater was home with one of his two children and a painter when the fire started; no one was injured.

Browning, a four-time world champion figure skater and three-time Olympian for Canada, tweeted these thoughts later in the day....

Here is another leaf blower that could have started the fire

I'm trying to think of a probable scenario for a leaf blower to start a fire in a wet Porsche...

Scenario #1) If it was gas powered...maybe he rested it on the folded rear seat-backs near the firewall...gas motor got so hot and ignited the carpet on the firewall (if so, how ironic would that be?).

Scenario #2) If it was electric powered, maybe he rested it on a water-saturated carpet, the inlet near the fan sucked in water and caused a short or a spark???...and ignited his flammable skating pant-suit

Scenario #3) ...?

gas one, locked in the car or its exhaust too close to flammable goods, may be. who knows.

one more reason not to care much about seats condition - just buy new ones when old are beaten up too much. that is why again I love lexus so much - 1998 with original seats and leather is still intact despite driving wet from the beach, in the rain, in all impossible conditions. in my 997 leather is already giving way on driver`s seat.

Toronto Maple Leaf Blower: Excellent addition to the post! I'm sending it to all my friends in Turkeytown.

Regarding the flammable figure skaters suit comment....maybe it was spontaneous combustion, instead. Browning...what a "wenis"!
