You also have to take into consideration that there were a lot less air cooled cars produced overall, making them way more desirable. Whereas the water pumpers are a dime a dozen at this point. I see teenagers driving using boxsters these days. Look at 993 turbos. They're pricing around decent used 996 turbos. The air cooled cars are a much better investment. Buy it cause you like it, but don't plan on the speedster appreciating, or even holding. If you can buy a CGT for almost half of what they sold for new, the speedster (which is simply a convertible 997 GTS) isn't going to do any better. Neat looking cab though.
