I just received confirmation yesterday that I can order the new Speedster and I would like recommendations as to how I should equip it and which of the two colors would be best.

Huh ? You're gonna drop over a quarter of a million dollars on a sports car and need to ask an internet forum which color to choose between blue and white ? What options to get ? Seriously ? WOW.

definitely get the blue color, white will be not much different than a regular white cab, which is everywhere.

but seriously, you will buy a speedster over a 997 turbo s cab for more money? I'm interested to know what features on a speedster that attracts you so much for this big sum of money.

 

so is the speedster even wider than the widebody 997.2'z (4, 4s, turbo, gt3rs, gt2)? if so then i'd be more partial to it than a turbo s also...

 

I actually am taking delivery of a 2011 Turbo S cab in January that is to be built in December, so this will be in addition to.

Also, I placed the order this morning for the blue car with every option and deleted the checkered flags on the seats.

 

definitely post pics when you received both cars, as I haven't seen anyone who buy 2 similar expensive cars together for a long time...in other words, I will believe you when I see them.

 

If I was going to drop a quarter mil on a new Porsche, it would have every option in the book. 6 speed or PDK?

 

pdk is the only way it comes. atleast thats what i was lead to believe.

Personally, that particular blue is not my color.. the white would prob look much cleaner.. the rear hump will draw enough attention without the bold blue.

May be a while, but the Speedster will definitely appreciate over time given the limited 356 unit production run!

 

Depends on why you are buying the Speedster. If you are not going to drive it much and are speculating then get every option but go with white since blue will be the likely color choice for most.

Do what makes you happy. Enjoy it for all it is and beat the **** out of the TTS. I hope you enjoy them both and do post some photos since this will be a rare care for sure.

 

Good Choice on the blue. IMO I would not skip the checkered flags. I think the are neat. What other cars have them it would be a neat unique feature.

I have Turbo S Cab also coming in Jan being built Dec 10th but I don't have coin for Speedster but congrats on the cars Pics when u can.
