Best alignment spec with Damptronic?
Best alignment spec with Damptronic?
I installed Bilstein Damptronic coilovers last weekend.
Really love the look and handling.
Anyway, it is time for good alignment.
What is the best alignment setup with Damptronic coilovers?
What about the height if I have GT3 front bumper?
FYI, it's all stock other than coilovers.

Ok, so you are on street tires then I take it. If you want a sportier feeling car but have good street manners I suggest you talk with some places around the country like GMG, Champion and so forth and see what they suggest.
As someone that was once in your shoes I suggest
FRONT
-1.3 degrees camber each side
.02 degrees or zero toe each side
REAR
-1.5 degrees camber each side
.14 degrees toes each side
I am running theese following specs because I go to the track around 10-15 days a year and I run R- Compound tires at the track which require more camber. I also run more camber in front for better turn in and tire wear. I have 14,000 miles on my car and my Michelin PS2 tires are not even 1/2 worn.
FRONT
-2.3 degrees camber
zero toe
REAR
-1.9 degrees camber
.14 degrees toe per side
I hope this helps.

Thank you, mdrums!
i use GT3 LCA's with -1.5 degree on the fronts for street. I'd be surprised if you could get the top mounts in enough to get -1.3 without Adjustable LCA's or camber plates.
You should also consider a CWB after your damptronic install. It made a world of difference in mine.

Then what is the maximum negative camber I can get from front with Bilstein Damptronic?
You can only adjust camber on the front by lower control arms (shims) or by adjusting the top mounts (like adding a camber plate). Porsche allow a small degree of adjustment by moving the top three mounting bolts in/out however Im told it's only about 0.5 degrees.
Installing Damptronics / other suspension doesnt affect camber (but reducing ride height will have an affect on toe/caster/roll)

After the alignment, I realized I had -1.3 and -1.5 Camber degree before they adjust.
I don't quite sure how I could have those numbers without GT3 LCAs but that's what I had.
Was it because I lowered my car by installing Bilstein Damptronics?
