Clay bar my car


I mustered up the courage and clayed my car.

WOW, it turned out fantastic. “Im Hooked”

I started with a small area incase I messed up and followed the directions.

If you haven’t done this and enjoy a deep, smooth luster that POPS, I suggest you give it a try.

I clayed my car last year and I was also amazed at how this product works, very good !

But why are you using an orbital polisher ?

As I know, you just use the clay bar with a liquid lubricant (Quick Detailer in case of Meguiars) and then wipe off with a microfiber cloth

Unless you waxed the car afterwards ?

 

Yes - he would have waxed afterwards. Clay takes off all impurities including wax and sealant. It works! Ideally you would wash, clay, wash, polish, wax for a perfect finish.

 

You should take wax and sealant off before you clay. Then clay. Rewash. Polish. Wax.

Used a Griot clay bar on my car...came out amazing. You can't believe what is on your car that is not easily visible.

 

Yeah clay is great, but my god it's a lot of work, especially since you have to wax afterwards.

Sometimes I go out to the car thinking I'm going to wash then clay then wax, and once I get the wash done I decide that's good enough and go back in the house.

Good for the once-a-year super-detail though. Gotta show the car you still love her once in a while

 

Im totally going to have to try that on my 5 yo paint...looks amazing

 

Works great. I've done it myself and highly recommend it.

 

Careful. Clay is an abrasive. You don't want to remove too much paint.
