Riding with Dog

Anyone have any cover solutions or tips for riding with the dog? I took my lab who loves to ride out for a trip to Palm Beach last weekend and used a quilt with towels to try and protect the car but I still feel some hair got in the car. I got it all out today but was wondering what everyone else is using besides another car if they want to take their larger dog for a spin.

I don't feel that it's safe for a big dog to ride in a Porsche 911 .
There was a lengthy thread on this about a year ago . https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...at-my-dog.html

I read this sometime ago: "an unrestrained 10-pound dog in a crash at 50 mph will exert 500 pounds of force on whatever it strikes; an 80-pound dog in a crash at just 30 mph will exert about 2,400 pounds". I use a doggy car seat for my mutts whenever I drive with them - and the hair seems to stay mostly on the restraining seat.

Well, that's where my F150 supercrew comes in handy.

My Chocolate Labs love the back area with seats folded up.

I put our Malteses in a dog car seat and they wear safety harnesses...and they don't shed.

You can get a hammock style cover (KV Vet is great) that fits over the rear and front headrests forming a cradle between the seats. However, please note: I love my Dobie and he travels everywhere with me. In the Outback! Porsche time is separate and apart for the sake of my peace of mind.
