Thumbs down wide body no longer in 4

I was just on the Porsche website and the wide body is no longer available in the "4" designations..........Only wide in GTS ,Turbo's, and RS. Did this start on the 997.2? I was unaware if so.......

Tragic. But still sitting pretty in my wide-hipped '07 C4S.

think the widths listed there include mirrors - which would be the same width on a 2 and a 4? (doesn't explain why, say the GTS is listed wider)

Don't know your age, Jim, but as we get older we need to be careful about talking about "wide bodies" in front of our wives.

Jim is right to be concerned - Porsche made a misprint on their "build your own" configurator. But it's just that - a misprint. The guide PDF does indicate that the 4 models still have the wider hips. And that would make sense - the whole idea behind the 4 is the wider track.

My 2011 C4S should be here this weekend. It better be widebody

Haha. You've had too much coffee. Tell your cousin, Rudolph, that he gave me a reason to walk away from the deal and get the RS that is sitting on the floor

OK, that makes sense. But what the 72.91 measurement of the GTS? Longer mirrors?

not sure, i know i asked dealer once and they said the 4's are still wider and the measurement was at mirrors on those online specs.. before it used to say "not including mirrors" or something of that nature.
