2010 Sport Classic NEED HELP
2010 Sport Classic NEED HELP
I imported the first Sport Classic to the US 3 months ago and still have not been able to drive it.
I need the following last part:
Read from conversion shop:
"The Porsche dealer says the harness part number 99761290300. I have
attached pictures of the components and we need the connector that is on the
harness. One is the combination fuel pump/fuel sending unit and the other
is the leak detection module (DMTL). We need the connector and the terminal
pins used inside the connector to attach the wires. If you have any
questions or need any more of a description please let me know.
See picture we need this connector other one has been located
please email me vramani@urbanliving.com or call 713-213-7241

well, congrats on getting it here... that must have been quite the headache.
Good luck with the final pieces!
I just priced 99761290300 and it's over $6K... sounds like you just need one connector off of that harness.
I'll be Porsche doesn't offer it separately.
You best bet might be for the shop to make a connector. The pin-type connections aren't rare and I'd think they could come up with a plug of some sort to house them.
Assuming they have the wiring schematics...
Again, good luck!
and please post some photos

Thanks here are some pics
FWIW, given that this appears to be a standard 997 part, perhaps you could try a specialty porsche dismantler/scrap yard. If you google Porsche scrap yard, I am sure you will find a few places that may be able to provide you with the necessary part at a substantial discount over the $6k list price. Although, given the price of the car and the money you've already spent to bring it across the atlantic, maybe $6k is just another drop in the bucket.

These 250 special cars were NOT made for the US mkt, period. (should been, imho) Porsche decided against spending the $$ to go through the hoops to get US Fed certification for only 250 units. So it's up to the individual to do it if they want to bring one over.
