Cool Race...? Thoughts guys.993TT vs. 08' CarreraS Serious question...

I got a guy that wants to race for money. More of a trust fund baby I am thinking... What should I do? I have a 1996 993 twin turbo. Tasteful mods. Hybrid turbos, aux oil cooler, GT2 bypass exhaust etc... This dude that has a 08' Carrera S wants to race for $1000 cash because apparently I have "an old car" Should I go for it? Or should I save the abuse for a real contender. If you all think its a good idea. What opinions on race conditions? Speed brackets etc. Should we go at?

Weird post. Anyway here´s some data on the link above. I choose the 993TT with factory Kit because of the mods you have you´re must be running 450hp. As you can see from comparo, you will smoke him badly on the straights.

Bad idea. Tell him that if he wants to race he should enroll in an established track program.

I think youd smoke him, but I would be concerned about safety. Be careful!!

Actually, find local dragstrip and run a 1/4 mile. That's probably your best bet

How do you guys know he is racing on the street? It could be at his local dragstrip. He didn't specify. I hope it is on a track.

I usually try to keep at least 30 minutes between the time I quit MarioCart and when I slide behind the wheel!

I don't get the motivation here. You're either trying to impress this guy, or really want the $1k. Both seem like ridiculous reasons to risk a race if its on the street.

I say you should just meet him at the flagpole after school and fight him in front of everyone. If he still wants a race after that, take it to the track.

I say do it - but do it right. Set up a meet at a track, and have a "Top Gear" style showdown. And raise the stakes - off the playground and into the coliseum - $1000 to play, but winner takes $10K - tap that trust fund hard!

Looking forward to the YouTube premier. Keep us posted.
