This.

I hate when people who THINK because they are in that lane, that they are actually going faster.

One of my biggest peeves. Why doesn't this affect everybody? I will never understand this for the life of me.

Please - I know there is at least one person who feels differently. Please tell me about this stupidity, so it looks only half retarded.

If you aren't passing anybody - don't be in the passing lane. If there is somebody behind you, move the hell out of the way.

(The problem is the likely hood of a non-enthusiast being on here, and much less responding to a thread of how do you drive, when they obviously don't give a rats a$$ about how they drive - inconsiderate bastards)

Have you ever noticed on multiple lane traffic that it's often more-open in the far right lane because the "passing" lane is full of appliance-drivers toodling along!

Law enforcement becomes transparent for "revenue collection" by its ignoring lane discipline and ticketing window tint, one plate, etc.....

Amen!!!

(I had that capitalized, it doesn't have the same effect when in lower case letters)

Arrow I drive...

...with the flow of traffic unless I need to get out of it or avoid trouble.

Not wise to use streets to satisfy the urge for speed. Others drive poorly.

Yeah, I don't think we were discussing speeding excessively, just that slightly above the speed limit (within reason) opens the road to certain opportunities that relieve the pressures of driving near idiots (who brake for no reason, talk on cell phones, text, eat, smoke, read books, etc...).

Tracks are made for speed, not public roads.

None of the above. I drive the speed limit...in the r/h lane. I don't give an f' what traffic is doing. Cops can pull over groups of speeders as easily as a single car. Really don't want a ticket, my insurance to go up, or an accident. I almost always drive defensively.

That's awesome if you can do that. I try to do that almost every time I get on the road. Until the Mercedes in front of me takes 2 minutes to 0-35mph in a 45mph zone. Or the person on the interstate speeds up to 65 in a 65mph, slows down to 55, speeds up, slows down, speeds up, slows down, etc... while somebody decides to pass this unsafe driver at 65mph, then the driver in front of you speeds up to 65mph - and BLAM! Stupidity ensues.

It would be nice to travel the speed of traffic (or within the speed limit), if everybody else did the same thing. But it doesn't. Stupid people have those that actually PAY ATTENTION to their driving outnumbered 50:1.

I was a very conservative driver until the Pcar showed up. Now I just want to play. I am sure the "new" will wear off a little bit and I will go back to driving like an old fart.
