Usually C, but I try to stay within speeds that won't surprise other drivers, given the risk from people pulling out to pass, or from side streets. I also have a lot of legal fun on the nearby Angeles Crest Hwy, where the speed limit reaches 55 and yellow caution signs marking "25 mph" curves can be ignored.

Usually C or D depending on traffic, conditions, and the road.

I've been driving more like B or C lately though after I had to renew my insurance and it cost me $17,000 for this year..... Ouch! 10 tickets will do that to you.

start off with B/C, but as other drivers start to torque me off, definitely end up with D

I just told him that he should drive his car like he stole it. He laughed, said he already goes fast enough, and then told me to take out the garbage.

I really didn't expect much different of an answer though.

I drive as fast as I can. But that is not dependant on the car, it's just that the 997 is slightly faster than my DD, the Volvo V70.

depends on the (u.s.) state i'm in. in new york, i'm well-behaved. but since dmv points for speeding don't transfer to NY dmv from other states, i take more liberties when in CT, NJ, etc.

Just saw this thread for the first time and this is neither a hate response nor directed at 'michael', but I love the periodic comments on the various threads from all the great younger drivers who know how to mash the pedal every once in awhile. I'm not much but two weeks ago tomorrow I did a 2:55 in my 911 and a 2:50 in a new XKR at Sebring, just screwing around. Last Friday I hit 125 a couple of times on SR 19 going from St. Augustine to Ocala. Regretably I'm over the hill ( started driving at Watkins Glen in 1962 ) so qualify as a slow poke old fuddy-duddy . My kids and grandkids can't figure out why I had to put my third set of rears on at 18,000 miles.

I know you weren't directing this at me and I just want to say my post was more about the way the car was driven than by whom. I'm in the middle actually age-wise, so I'm not a kid.
