I love the painted console and seat backs. I have them in my car and I always get compliments. Looks utilitarian and traditional.

I don't think I would like the carbon fiber. What is the point? The accent is appealing, like leather would be, but why not leather? I hate to say it looks ethnic, but it is definitely not me.

 

I was about to purchase a CF Center console as well until I saw those pics. Awesome! Can you also PM me with price and where you had the work done. I'm in SFL as well. Thanks.

 

I think I'm having my center console and seat backs refinished in arctic silver this week at a local bay area body shop. I think it's a great look. It's there anyway for some very minor rock chip work, so it's the perfect time.

 

Painted interior parts get chipped and scratched pretty easily. You guys may want to cover it with clear bra or consider wrapping with alcantera instead.

 

I vote for paint as well. The painted center console/seatbacks looks SO good when matched to the body color. I can't tell you the number of compliments I've received.

That much c/f looks a little to boy racer-ish for me, but different strokes!

 

just painted my 996tt, Arctic silver. much better then CF.. my 13 year old daughter even said it looks good, she wouldn't have noticed the CF.. don't do the horse shoe

 

Just curious...why do you say not to do the horseshoe? Was thinking of painting the console and making the horseshoe CF...
